"Dirty Frank's" is a hot dog joint in downtown Columbus, OH.
even though i've never been there, a friend and i wrote and recorded this in a matter of two hours.
we had a blast and you can definitely hear laughter throughout.

enjoy!

The bass part is especially good! My wife is going to enjoy this, too.

Future Charlie Harper! Now I'm going to have dirty franks in my head all day. Not the greatest name for a hotdog place though, me thinks.

I am a professional Musical Signature writer myself...and I gotta say, that has all the elements of a great Jingle...well done.

I'd like to see us have a Jingles thread for those of us who do them or would like info on the biz, and share ideas (I have a few of them for getting clients to sign on, getting radio TV station to act as reps for free, and of course tips for Jingle writing and entering the biz).

My latest is pretty cool (for a national body slimming center)...but I won't derail your thread with it, I'll wait to see if there's interest in a Jingles Thread.

I recommend to all good catch writers to get into it....my charge is $3500 for 6 to 8 mixes of a 30 second Jingle....and have done Jingles for Ford, GM etc for $15,000/Jingle...my highest so far was $30k for the GM Longriders "Dusting Trails" 60 sec. Jingle...huge production, but not bad for 8 days work

But you should definitely consider it as a sideline.

Cool stuff Footbutt ... Muzoid, I would be interested in a jingles thread atleast for the info (biz wise) and if not to just hear some cool lil' jingles.

No joke, If I were driving about in Ohio and heard that commercial on a radio station, I would literally stop what I was doing and head over to Dirty Franks just because any restaurant associated with that fat bass line deserves my business. Period.

That's good enough for me....I'll put something together for us soon...

I'm always up for hearing good biz ideas, and sharing them as well....there is and will always be a need for Musical Signature writers.

so the owners of Dirty Frank's contacted me and looks like i'm gonna get some free food outta this!

we'll see how far they take this, but i don't it will go any further than free food. which is totally fine for me, since the song was written more as a joke than an actual ad.

fun times, though.

That is just plain awesome. Well-produced, catchy and a solid bassline to boot. Hats off to you sir.

Also, a jingles thread would be interesting. It's an oft-ignored part of the music business.
