Atlanta instrumental band Gnomonaut debut album!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,
Just wanted to put up a link to my bands self produced album on Talkbass to share and maybe get some feedback. We are in instrumental Prog-space rock band (for lack of a better term). If I had to pigeon hole us I would say there are bits of Tool, Floyd, Crimson and Sabbath in our sound.
Anyway we have our debut album streaming on our website if anyone is interested.

gnomonaut.com - sounds

Enjoy! Feedback welcome!

only listened to the first track so far, it's great...
right up my alley.
hard to judge on computer speakers, but i wish the bass was as up front as everything else.

I listened to several tracks. Very nice!!!
I'm using a set of old ipod headphones and also agree it would be nice to hear the bass a bit more upfront.

I had no issue hearing the bass - in fact, the music mix sounded very good to me (once you got to the music... To much ambient/sound fx for my tastes).

I'm going to guess that this band puts on a bit of a stage show, making the sounds/music a bit more meaningful than on a raw recording.

Nice! Sounds great. I'll check back at your website to see when the gigs are.

@ D.A.R.K and Setebos we have definitely wrestled with getting a good bass sound in the mix. Our drummer is the one with the home studio and this is his first real go at all this (recording,mixing, mastering etc...)

@BigOldHarry we are definitely intending on putting a stage show, visuals etc in there, part of the psychedelic influence. Our music is definitely not for everyone but thanks for the listen!

@BassBrad, funny I've heard of Tangerine Dream but never listened...guess that is about to change...

@DaveSiff We'll keep you updated

@Barkless Dog...guilty as charged!

Anyone else?
Thanks for the input and support y'all!
