Anybody know what kind of bass, amp, and so forth the bassist is using on this video? He sounds very good to me - just right for the genre.

Thanks

Cabinet looks like a Hartke 4x10 and a 1x18. Can't tell the head. No clue on the bass.

However, upon close look, on the drummers right I see a stack of 3- 10x2 cabs that appear to be SWR with the top 2x10 being a combo.

I think the bass is a Yamaha Motion B. You can find them used for around $300 or so, I think there is one in the classified right now. I have one and it is a really cool bass,
32" scale and hard to believe how nice for the price.

...you don't prefer the original with Hamish Stuart playing the bass part?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc6OPIhmfMk

...it's a Fender Mustang bass.

^ As far as bass tone is concerned, I prefer the one I posted. That said, my preference probably has as much to do with the quality of the recording as it does with the player, bass, and amp.

...hard to beat the "feel" of the guy that originally played it/wrote it.

I like that tone. I might have to learn to pick after hearing that...
