Damn, too bad it was in a noisy environment. I loved your playing and your interpretation - you've really adapted all of these Bach pieces pretty brilliantly to an instrument which at first glance doesn't seem to be the ideal candidate for them. Any chance you'll tackle the second suite? I'm working on it right now (albiet very slowly), and I would love to see your take on it.

Thanks!

I'm working on all six suites. Number 6 is what I'm focusing on for a new video for a friend. I'll see if I can get number 2 recorded soon. I have that one down pretty well.

Its an Ideal instrument when you have seven strings though, that really opens up the bass to pieces and music forms that are classically aren't well suited for bass. Ive work on some of the suites on Upright at the Fifth is damn near impossible with out years upon years of training and commitment to being a true virtuoso.

I meant unconventional, not "not ideal". You really can't argue against the fact that electric bass isn't the first thing people think of when thinking about Bach! 7-string bass is great for interpretations, though, I agree (I'm primarily a 7-string player myself). It allows you to play them in the bass register, but also make use of the unique timbre of the upper strings in a way you couldn't on a 5 or even 6 string bass.
