Badmarsh and Shri

Has anyone heard these guys??

I've just got their "signs" album..........amazing!!

Badmarsh gives some great perfomances mc-ing, and shri lays down some real "smooth" fretless grooves. It's Drum'n bass esq, but there's a real nice mix of chilled out grooves......these guys are great producers, and the use of tabla to groove is real cool. They also incorporate other traditional indian instruments, Shri laying down flute loops.

I'm not a fan of Indian music at all, but this is western music, with hints of eastern delight.......very cool.

Shri's bass playing is great. Very simple, and yet addictive.

Anyone heard these guys, they played at Glastonbury on the jazz world stage!?!

Peace

yeah, they've been getting airplay on XFM and have appeared on Later with Jools Holland.
to be honest I don't really like the vocals.

I've got Shri's pre-Badmarsh solo album "Drum, the bass"- sort of ambient, some nice bass playing here and there- "camels" features a mix of slapped and fingerstyle fretless- a bit reminiscent of Les Claypool, in a way.
