Lead guitar player in my bands riff/ song. I'm working on a bass line and we have a rhythm part that needs to be recorded. thoughts?

Keep playing the Cm scale over it. From there you will come up with some phrases that you can use.

the riff is pretty cool i usually play the same thing as the guitarist(also metal). we only have 1 so the bass line behind it creates a punchy sound
