Band's performance on local TV news

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone!

One of the local news stations here in Wichita (KWCH12) runs a Thursday morning spot called "Listen Up" and features local musicians/bands, allowing them to plug a new album or where they will be performing in the upcoming future. We did the interview on live TV, but afterwords, they recorded us playing one of our tunes for their website. I would love to hear your thoughts on it!

The group is Brian Simpson and the Groove Apparatus (quick name thought up for the TV spot). Featuring:

Brian Simpson: guitar and vocals
Kelsey Spangler: Drums
Jordan Bollig (me): Bass

Brian is also a TB member (and really good bassist!!) under the name BrianS198!

The song is called "Waiting To Be Uncovered" by Brian Simpson

KWCH12 appearance :: 42590224-e900-4416-a507-98e9b4a4fd7e.mp4 video by jabollig - Photobucket

Thanks!
Jordan

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Samuel Ramey, the opera star, was in the studio for an interview. Got to meet him and get a picture!

Sounds good. Tasty Dave Matthews-like bass lines! Not too hip on the lyrics though. They sound a little too complicated to me, like he had a big story to tell in a few minutes. still sounds good

I'm not the greatest lyricist, heh. Or a guitar player for that matter. It's all in good fun man. But FYI, the lyrics are more or less about being yourself and letting yourself mature as a person. There really isn't a story, it's more or less advice to myself, haha. Thanks for the kind words though man!
