Baroness - Blue Record

Has anyone heard Blue Record yet? I've just started listening to it and so far its fantastic. The bassists tones/fuzz sounds are great, and the songs are all wicked so far.

If you haven't heard them, and are a fan of bands like Mastodon, I STRONGLY recommend you check them out, specifically their first two eps (First and Second respectively )

Heard only a bad quality version on their myspace. Sounded great. I'd assume its in stores now? I'll have to nab it.

Man... I was in a band years ago and we played with Baroness a few times in Savannah, GA. That was during their "First" and "Second" EPs. I loved them then, but since the "Red Album" i just have not been down with them at all. Same thing with their local-mates in Kylesa.

While neither of those bands are really "bad" now... it just falls into that category of, 'i was so into their previous sound, i just can't get into what they are doing now'. Still rad dudes, and i am stoked for them... just not down with their music anymore.

Ya the music has changed a lot, and i dig their first and second ep's way more then red and blue. But i just look at it as different stuff, rather than classifying it was Baroness.. if that makes sense.

These guys are going to be huge. mark my words. They have fantastic home grown art work, they are heavy enough for metal heads, noodling for the shreders, and lots of psychadelic stuff to interest people who are big into Led or Floyd.
They will be as big as mastadon in a couple of years.
