Bass Christmas 2007

As someone who has contributed and worked on a few compilation CD's, I know that 12-months is not too soon to start putting one together.

I think it would AWESOME to do a comp of TBer's doing their versions of holiday music. Yes, I did say HOLIDAY. I'd love to also hear songs that represent jewish, pagan, and other celebrations.

I'm thinking that September 1st would be a good deadline for submissions, to have it ready by Thanksgiving. I'd be happy to put it together, but my production/mastering skills are amateur at best. I'm sure that there are plenty of TBer's who would be willing to master this.

Let's see what ya'll are made of!!!

Don't worry, I'll bug you next month, as well.

Are you looking for just bass music, complete band renditions with words, or what have you?

I'm definitely interested, and even suggested me and my buddy learn christmas songs on guitar and bass to play at my family's annual christmas party.. but that was 3 days before the party, so he called me a dick and i took that as a no.

Personally, I'd love to hear anyone's versions of holiday music. But for this project, I'd like to have something that features da bass. Either solo or in band would be cool.

I'm a satanist so I'll just do a cover or Van Halen's "Runnin' with the Devil" j/k

That's actually a very cool idea. I'd definitely enjoy doing a solo piece of some Christmas tunes.

I'd be interested in buying it.

I haven't done anything like this before, but If I get something together over summer I'll let you know

Thanks for the bump.

So far, I haven't gotten any submissions. Now is a good time to throw down some holiday goodness. Even if you want to do a bass solo of the "Dreidel Song", or a Yule or Kwanzaa tune.

C'mon everybody. Show your holiday spirit.

I've been without my amps for a few weeks now (at EA getting fixed), but I had a couple tunes worked out. If they magically arrive back here before week's end, I should be able to record them quickly.
