As someone who has contributed and worked on a few compilation CD's, I know that 12-months is not too soon to start putting one together.
I think it would AWESOME to do a comp of TBer's doing their versions of holiday music. Yes, I did say HOLIDAY. I'd love to also hear songs that represent jewish, pagan, and other celebrations.
I'm thinking that September 1st would be a good deadline for submissions, to have it ready by Thanksgiving. I'd be happy to put it together, but my production/mastering skills are amateur at best. I'm sure that there are plenty of TBer's who would be willing to master this.
Let's see what ya'll are made of!!! |

I'm definitely interested, and even suggested me and my buddy learn christmas songs on guitar and bass to play at my family's annual christmas party.. but that was 3 days before the party, so he called me a dick and i took that as a no. |

| Personally, I'd love to hear anyone's versions of holiday music. But for this project, I'd like to have something that features da bass. Either solo or in band would be cool. |

That's actually a very cool idea. I'd definitely enjoy doing a solo piece of some Christmas tunes. |

So far, I haven't gotten any submissions. Now is a good time to throw down some holiday goodness. Even if you want to do a bass solo of the "Dreidel Song", or a Yule or Kwanzaa tune.
C'mon everybody. Show your holiday spirit. |

If they magically arrive back here before week's end, I should be able to record them quickly. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
