I just found this bass groove gem - Bad News by Moon Martin - the guy who wrote and originally recorded Bad Case Of Lovin' You (Doctor, Doctor). Simple, yet catchy and infectious.

Yes! My current band plays a lot of 60s surf instrumentals. It has become sort of a unique niche for my band along with our cover dance tunes and people now expect us to play a few each night.
