Bass guitar tuning for "Mesmerize" (System of a Down)

What is the bass/guitar tuning on the new System of a Down album??
I WASNT able to get a chance to buy the guitar world featuring Daron M. (system of a down's lead guitarist) explaining the album's different guitar sound's, tuning's,etc.

Some people say the tuning is tuning the entire guitar down 1 1/2 step's. Some say the tuning is just the "normal" "System of a Down" tuning of Drop D, down one whole step's. Some people say that Daron has tried a different tuning, in that the tuning is Drop D, down 1/2 step's.. (Db-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb) compared to (C-G-C-F-A-D)..
Anyone know what this is all about??
Thanks for any information!!

Not quite sure, I haven't heard anything new from SOAD. Like you said, earlier efforts were dropped C. It's possiblie they went up a half step. The best way to find out (other than being told... duh) is to find the lowest note (often with SOAD, they have droning riffs or riffs that pivot off the lowest note) and play along with it.
