Whattup lower enders. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to take a listen to some stuff I did on my last band's album. If you give me a link to yours I'll be more than happy to reciprocate I'm looking to improve and thought people who didn't know me would be more up front and to the point.

Here be me link: http://www.myspace.com/thisissla

The recordings are still unmastered, so keep that in mind when listening please. Thanks in advance and I look forward to listening to other people's stuff!

Only one I had time to hear tonight.....kool grove , bass line makes the tune. song is good overall...... chrous a bit monotony ,singer needs to expand the Devils on 10 line....

"Soon" by Storm - YouTube

No vocals on it yet, this is more of a back burner project.

Nice chops in that group! I especially liked the bass tapping. Those higher notes sounded almost harmonicy

As for the song, I liked the groove and chord choices though I felt the material was too often repeated.

Here's how I broke it down:

A: bass intro
B: bass throbbing
C: slow down
A
B
C
Git solo
B
C

Adding vox could kick it up a notch and I see that it's a WIP, but I also felt the dynamics were a bit flat. Maybe get your synth player to kick it up a notch after the git solo, or perhaps add some pads in the second ABC section. You, the git and the drums are putting in a lot, some well placed synth color could really do a lot to fatten up the sound.

Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Take it easy!

Not at all, the Keyboard player will tell you he's the weak link in this band.
we are probly going to shorten the tune once we get things sorted out with vocals.
Checked out a few of your Youtube Vids some cool stuff.
