Bass recording feedback and advice

I started getting into recording about a year ago and have struggled through trying to get a nice warm bass sound. I've learned that the right bass can make all the difference in the world and adding compression to my recording chain also helps. The sound I can get now is way better than where I started. But there is always room for improvement and definitely would love to hear what others have to say.

I've attached a recording and would love some feedback. The 2 riffs I'm playing are mostly on the A and D strings. Both riffs have a G that I play on the E string. The A and D string notes sound warm and punchy to me, but the G not on E sounds a little flabby.

I've EQ'd this thing over and over, but seems like the real advances where when I made changes to how I recorded. How does it sound (especially that G note).

I"m using a SWR400s (tube pre) into a dbx 160A compressor at 4:1 and about 6 db of compression into a presonus interface to my computer.

Thanks for the feedback!
