I guess he just want some critique... Well first of all it is obvious that you haven't been playing for that long and you are very young. Secondly you are not tight. But it's a fine little riff. I like the run up the neck you make.

Let's make something clear, the video does show that you are creative. But, that you need to practice a lot. And I know that because I've been there too.

Well, I listened to it...what are you looking for? It was an interesting piece? Your bass was pointy? Nice high mass bridge?

Seriously though, not bad but it might be better in some context of a song. And honestly I thought the solo was a bit more guitar inspired. I'm guessing you're a metal fan?

All in all, keep on playing, keep on practicing and never stop learning. be able to take constructive help and don't dismiss everything as criticism.

And in case there are flamers, not every bass solo has to be a slap or funk groove...

Any particular reason why this is posted under "Basses", and not under "Bassists" or "Recordings" or "Technique"?

Not really the best sub-forum to post this. However, I see your pretty young, I won't hate. You obviously love the instrument which is great, don't stop playing. Does sound more guitar inspired though, especially the tone. Try and think about how it would sound in the context of a song. I've been at your level before, keep practicing.

Good deal on putting yourself out there [Thumb]

That says you're pushing yourself to grow in your playing.

So, what about your self-assessment? What do you think of the clip? What do you like best about it?
