Which bass sounds better in the studio than live?

Have you used a bass that sounds a lot better in the studio (recording) than when you use(d) it live? If you have a recording of it on youtube, link it, and tell what kind of bass it is.

I agree with you there. I used a Wick $$ in the studio, not good, but I also did it for a alternative rock band. They sound pretty good in metal, especially for Mudvayne.

Musicmans are sick in the studio! I don't really care for them live, but for some reason on recordings it's just awesome!

My old buddy recorded his sophomore album with a SR5.... Seems like there is a trend here..... But My SR5 sounds great live so guess it doesn't count

If a bass sounds better in the studio it's probably because it's going direct through some really nice gear and a good engineer at the controls.

IMHO
