Bass, Strings and Beats - new solo-bass track - 4Hero-stylee

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey bass people

I got busy on Sunday with my laptop and good old Garage Band and made this tune - kind of dance-ish, funky tune with some strings and beats and some multi-tracked fretless - it's almost finished and needs little more mixing - but it's pretty much there.

Love to know what you think of it:

'Flunky'

(I even slap my fretless for the first time on a recording, sounds kinda nice )

Cheers

Mike

pretty cool, although the bass becomes fairly indiscernible for a while there...when the string loops kick in. regardless, not really my thing, but nice job.

you've got a bit of a Manring tone going on, that's neat.

You should be able to stream the song right above where it says that. I didn't have to login to listen, but I didn't download it.

Slick song, very well composed.

Hey thanks guys - just trying out some new ideas - loads to learn still in terms of producing it all up - and for anyone still struggling with Quicktime plugins there's a new mix up on my Myspace page here: http://www.myspace.com/flynnbass

Thanks for checking it out as ever - you're a patient bunch - I'm going to get some proper recordings happening soon!

Great tone - you have a Haslip type thing going on there.

Who's 4Hero?
