bass V-amp and a bass head

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I bought a Hartke 3500A and I use my bass v-amp to simulate a speaker, but I dunno how to do it. Basically I want to record in my computer without using a real expensive amp and a real expensive microfone to record it. So I use the tube preamp in the bass v-amp to get the sound of the hartke instead of the other bassheads simulations. But i don't know how to choose the cabinet I want without using a basshead emulation, that would be hartke basshead and trace elliot for example ate the same time, turning into crap. Somebody sometime ago said something about selecting cabinets without using basshead emulations but not even in the manual I can find where I can do that.
I want to do this because using only the tube the basslines seems pretty much dead, you hear the notes clearly but not with the excitement I expected from a real basshead.
