Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but just wanted to let everyone know that BassPLayer.Tv is up and running...

Mods, If this is not the right place please move to the correct location, but being that it has to do with videos of bassist i thought it would go under recordings...

I was just about to post the same link - just been watching Brady Muckelroy (who's a new one on me) and it's good stuff - the Bill Clements clips are great too - but I'm still not sure if I love or don't like Jeff Berlin's style - he is a great player - not sure if it does a lot for me though - anyway great site - I hope it has a lot more stuff on there as it progresses.

Nice site. They need more content though. Too bad Flea's segments are unplugged!

Great site. Just been watching the Bill Clements stuff. His technique is such that it makes me realise limitations in my own playing. That is really inspiring and rewarding to watch. A real eye opener. If the site could avoid the obvious and and maybe be brave enough to focus on players who might not be too well known, or who approach the bass in a really unusual way, you would have a resource of great value. Lets face it, you can do a search on Youtube.com and Google and find lots of information on all the famous bassists. I want to know about the little guy... that would have far more relevence to most bassists. IMO.

Basesd on that clip alone, what's there not to like? Do you like jazz, played really realy well on electric bass with a great, melodic, and technical solo?
Well, that seemed to fit the bill to me.

Anyone watch the Paul Jackson stuff? Is he normally like that or does he have A.D.D. or something? I dont mean that as an insult. I just found his interview REALLY REALLY hard to follow without getting a headache.

Great site, hopefully they will continually update it with more videos every month. Does anyone know if that is the plan or not?

Content: Good, but can use more.

Web Design: Very good work with flash and simple navigation.

Overall: Good site with room for development/improvement.

Oh, and it's bookmarked.

i thought it was, it turns out Louis johnson was a big influence on Fleas bass playing, Louis gave him the bass personally which i just found out

for anyone who has seen this, theres a video on youtube where louis johnson is playing with george duke, and he does an amazing solo but snaps a string, what kinda of bass is that? also i hear louis used nortan basses a few times, i'm after louis johnson signiture bass but theres alot goin around with that, can anyone confirm which one is actually is signiture bass?
