Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but just wanted to let everyone know that BassPLayer.Tv is up and running... http://www.bassplayer.tv
Mods, If this is not the right place please move to the correct location, but being that it has to do with videos of bassist i thought it would go under recordings... |

His technique is such that it makes me realise limitations in my own playing. That is really inspiring and rewarding to watch. A real eye opener. If the site could avoid the obvious and and maybe be brave enough to focus on players who might not be too well known, or who approach the bass in a really unusual way, you would have a resource of great value. Lets face it, you can do a search on Youtube.com and Google and find lots of information on all the famous bassists. I want to know about the little guy... that would have far more relevence to most bassists. IMO.

Basesd on that clip alone, what's there not to like? Do you like jazz, played really realy well on electric bass with a great, melodic, and technical solo?
Well, that seemed to fit the bill to me. |

for anyone who has seen this, theres a video on youtube where louis johnson is playing with george duke, and he does an amazing solo but snaps a string, what kinda of bass is that? also i hear louis used nortan basses a few times, i'm after louis johnson signiture bass but theres alot goin around with that, can anyone confirm which one is actually is signiture bass? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
