Beastie Boys instrumental album

I think it's called The In Sound From Way Out

I posted some videos awhile ago of them acting as the house band on MTV's "Hangin' With..." and thought they were a pretty good (actual) band. Some of what they were playing might have been songs from that album, but really dug it . Very funky. Anyone have it ,heard it or like it ?

I dig it, but I'd like to hear some solos on the songs. They can groove like anything, but I think it'd make it just that much better if there were some solos.

You guys know about the new album? It is all instrumental and orinigal. I think it's coming out this summer. They say it is different than what they have sone in the past. Here's an article about it.

I heard about the new album on the radio yesterday. They DJ's were talking about how terrible the last instrumental album was. Then they played a song from it and really liked it so hpefully the new one is as cool as the last.

"The In Sound from Way Out" is a great disc. I'd love to hear them do something like that again. The upright grooves are pretty damn cool.

Great, now I need to go buy that disc.

i love that album! can't wait for this new release! great news! i wonder what it'll be like since they seem to think "in sound" was terrible.

I love Beasties instrumentals. I'm glad they're actually playing music on this album. It's been far too long since they've put out something I enjoyed. I think ill communication was the last Beasties album that I could play from beginning to end without being annoyed by something.

I completely forgot about this record. I was quite late in realizing the Beasties even played instruments...I think sometime in the early 90's I became aware of it. But wow, for me they are far more interesting as an instrumental trio than a hip hop group. I definitely need to see if the old one is still in print, *and* check out this new one.
