Beatles - isolated tracks

Sign in to disble this ad
People have been posting about these isolated Beatles tracks on other sites, thought bass players would get a kick out of them. Not sure how long they'll stay up, check them out while you can:

Probably because it's less "Paul and John isolated track" and more "I recorded this in my bedroom and am trying to pass it off as the Beatles".

Part of what makes the Beatles great is how well the difference elements fit together in the context of the song. Listening to the isolated tracks is just an academic exercise. That being said, this is pretty awesome: http://www.youtube.com/user/WarmBelo.../5/8jYEFcHaJtU

While the playing may seem rudimentary, put it in the mix with George, Ringo and the vocals and it sounds killer. I think it demonstrates two things. One, virtuoso performances on the instruments aren't necessary to make a good song, and two, the use of space in a song can greatly enhance it.

Amazing feel. Tuning does sound a bit weird, but I've heard these songs a million times before without noticing that.
