It's good for the kids, though. They don't own the original vinyl in mono like me (he said snootily).

But being the huge fan I am and always will be, I'm glad more generations can have access to their wonderful music.
I also just came back from Vegas where my wife and I saw the Circ du Soleil "Love" at the Mirage; I bought the sound track from the show on CD already. It was very creative and the show had a bitchin' sound system

| The Beatles were present and involved with the mono mixing. They were not involved with the stereo mixing which was done rather hastily.
The two sound different when compared. Quote:

| Perhaps you are familiar with the bassist of the Beatles?
"YOU" can buy the same song as often as you wish. |

They were mixed very carefully for that format and then the stereo versions were often done after the Beatles had left- some say rather haphazardly. To many peoples' ears, the bass and drums sound particularly forceful in mono.
Songs like "Paperback Writer" sounds absolutely ripping in mono.

Once I found out Apple charges you to download the songs again TO THE SAME account and/or device I have never bought music on there again. You can download already purchased apps all day, but music is only once. I had a pc almost die and had to do a data backup and rebuild and Apple wasn't pleasant to deal with. |
