So,
even after consulting the search function, I couldn't really find anything on this specific topic.
If anyone here has ever listened to the "Sea Change" Album by Beck,
more specifically to the songs "Paper Tiger" and/or "End of the Day",
could this person tell me how one would go about describing and achieving the tone on these songs?
I don't even know how you would go about describing it,
since English isn't my native language.

Thanks,
Jan

I have been listeing to some live shows from the band Air where he is the bassist. Great playing.

he was briefly featured in Bass Player Magazine recently, I think it was the one about Bass Day. He uses a lot of effects boxes, and a lot of old school basses, strung with flats, etc..

Thats all I can offer, without searching the net...

Get some flatwound strings, that'll get you most of the way there.

Sea Change is one of my favorite albums in the history of everything.
