"Behind Blue Eyes" bass demo. I'll miss the Ox

I decided to post this little ditty as I sat here trying to imagine an Ox-less Who playing, or worse yet, air guitaring the halftime show tomorrow.

This 1971tune combines a lyrical/ballad with a hard rock style in a unique, almost classical way.

As always, use headphones for best results.

That was pretty good. I watched your 'Don't Let Me Down' video also. That's one of my favorite Beatles bass lines.

Here's a request/suggestion -- How about 'Living In The Past' by Jethro Tull? I think you have the right kind of big, fat tone for it.

Pino

Don't know whom they will be using but I saw the Who one week or so after the Ox died and Pino Palladino played extremely well. Did not sound pre-recorded at all. Did his own My Generation solo and it was a great one. Amazing he had the material so tight that quickly. Like he had worked with them before?

I've been thinking about that song a lot lately. It's awesome.

I liked it, but next time you record video footage, run it through a deinterlacing filter to get rid of the horizontal lines when there's movement.

Hey Boom-

Thanks for the feedback. My buddie shoots this stuff with a mid quality range camera... nothing stupendous. Is this filter you suggest a program or what?

He most likely uses some kind of video editing software to make the video footage Youtube-sized and most of them have deinterlacing filters which will get rid of the lines. Tell him to look into it, he'll probably know what to do or to look for.

Most video cameras record video with lines/interlacing in it to save space, by the way, no matter how expensive they are. It's a common problem with video technology but you can get rid of it with relative ease.
