Being creative with the bass

Hey guys,

I have been working for a few months on a concept album using my Spector Euro 6LX and trying to capture the essence of progressive rock/ambient and classical music that have been inspiring me since I was a little kid.

I have finished recording some songs and would like to share it with you. I was able to create some interesting tones and moods using almost exclusively my bass.

I invite you all to check it out by clicking the following link:

A Visible Thought Demo by A Visible Thought on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

Pretty much all the tracks your hear are bass tracks, for the exception of acoustic guitar on some parts, keyboard pads and drums.

Please do not hesitate to comment and leave your feedback.

Thank you,

Sacha

Well, I'm impressed, when I heard the first track I was like "Mmkay, I'm not into progressive that much and this isn't that great"... but when I heard the next two. Wow, that's some really good music right there my friend! I'm really inspired now, I will be buying a Line 6 UX1 to record at home, I can't wait and you just inspired me even more.
This seems like a genre where musicians can really express their feelings through the instrument.

Cool stuff man. Ive tried my hand at coming up with stuff solely on my 6ers and boy do I suck! Its always refreshing and inspiring to listen to an artist who knows how to do just that! Great stuff.
