Your favorite bass overdrive artist/band,album,song either or or all?

I haven't seen a thread like this or at least in while so i decided post one. one of my faves is geddy lee from rush in their self titled album 'rush'. its not as over the top as his sound in later albums which i also think sounds good but i just feel that in that particular album his sound just seems to sit in mix well.
whats your favorite?

I moved this over from another forum

There's a post somewhere on TB where he lists the full recording chain for that. I think it involved the aguilar agro and a U5, plus a bunch of other stuff... Great tone!

EDIT: Found it! Recording bass for Dub Trio's Another Sound is Dying with Joel Hamilton

Doug Pinnick of King's X. I've never heard a bigger, more over-the-top sound.

Not sure this qualifies, but listen to Jack Bruce on "Crossroads" on Cream's Wheels of Fire And then there is Live Cream Vol. 2. In fact, his bass on every track sounds on this one sounds amazing as well. I believe it is via a Marshall guitar amp full out not a separate OD per se. But, the overdriven sound is astounding.

Eugene Goreshter's live sound with Autolux. It makes the studio tone sound positively docile.

YES.

I also really like Dave Monks from Tokyo Police Club tone, seems like just the right amount of overdrive, not too much, not too little

Nate Newton of Converge on Axe To Fall. BP magazine recommended the album purely because of the tone.

+100. I'm still trying to get that nasty, trebled punch Billy has. Even though I prefer my tone to have a huge, low, grumbling, punch that hugs the guitar's sound, Billy has this cutting overdrive stabs it right in the gut!

Check it out in this cover of War Pigs:
