| | | | Your favorite bass overdrive artist/band,album,song either or or all? I haven't seen a thread like this or at least in while so i decided post one. one of my faves is geddy lee from rush in their self titled album 'rush'. its not as over the top as his sound in later albums which i also think sounds good but i just feel that in that particular album his sound just seems to sit in mix well.
whats your favorite?
I moved this over from another forum

| There's a post somewhere on TB where he lists the full recording chain for that. I think it involved the aguilar agro and a U5, plus a bunch of other stuff... Great tone!
EDIT: Found it! Recording bass for Dub Trio's Another Sound is Dying with Joel Hamilton

In fact, his bass on every track sounds on this one sounds amazing as well. I believe it is via a Marshall guitar amp full out not a separate OD per se. But, the overdriven sound is astounding.

I also really like Dave Monks from Tokyo Police Club tone, seems like just the right amount of overdrive, not too much, not too little |

Even though I prefer my tone to have a huge, low, grumbling, punch that hugs the guitar's sound, Billy has this cutting overdrive stabs it right in the gut!
