Which is the best Jamiroquai album

Sign in to disble this ad
I was listening to Jamiroquai the other day and I have a new found appreciation for Stuart Zender. I was just hoping someone could give me some input on which album I should get first, or just which album you feel is the best. Thanks!

This should probably be in "Miscellaneous"... and I use the term "probably" in a suggestive manner... lol

Return of the Space Cowboy, hands down IMO.

He only played on 3 of them, in this chronological order :

Emergency on Planet Earth
Return of the Space Cowboy
Travellin' without Moving

I find them all essential purchases and they all have some great bass lines/funky tunes - take your pick!

A little bit OT, but I just got Traveling Without Moving today. The CD cover insert had the right cover and back, but the inside pages of the 'booklet' were for West Side Story presented by Robert Griffith. It's the weirdest thing I've seen. Nothing about the band or the CD inside.

+1 for Return of the Space Cowboy (2nd CD)

Emergency on Planet Earth and Travelling Without Moving are really really close though.

The non-Zender CDs are still good, but not quite up to the level of their first 3 releases.

Travelling without Moving has some great fundamental work on a 5'er, unless my ears are deceiving me.

I love A Funk Odyssey, too, though.
