What do you think the best Beatles song sung by Paul is?

I personally like Helter Skelter best.

Not sure if it qualifies, but I like the bass line of "Silly Love Songs". I believe that was Paul. It's a really catchy line!

"Silly Love Songs" is a brilliant song on many levels, but is not a Beatles song. So it doesn't qualify.

I think my favorite Paul Beatles song is "All My Lovin'", largely because of the brilliant bass line. That's today. Tomorrow it may be something different.

Some of my favorites

For Noone
When I'm 64
Obla Di Obla Da
Lovely Rita (I don't even remember if he or John sang it, but his bass makes the song one of my favorites)

I also like "You Never Give Me Your Money", specially the "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, all good children go to heaven" with those cool sixteenth-note sextuplets played by Paul on his bass. In fact, "Abbey Road" is my favorite Beatles album.

I'd like to know who wrote "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)". That crazy tune is extremely fun to listen. If it's by Paul, then it has my vote also.

Another vote for "For No One" and "Helter Skelter". "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is also a great tune.

And here's my favorite, inimitable bass break by Paul:

Penny Lane is definitely one of my favourites. Also Lovely Rita, which contains lots of fantastic bass playing.

I agree with "Something."

It's one of those songs people instantly hum or sing along with. The thing is, they can also sing or hum along with the bass line - it's such an important and well crafted part.

One After 909 is cool too.
Hey Bulldog
Lady Madonna - didn't he double it on piano bass?

We've established that Paul didn't write "Something".

The bassline to that song is brilliant, but George Harrison thought it was too busy.

One After 909 and Hey Bulldog are John songs.

Yes, that's Paul on Piano on Lady Madonna.
