Yeah, all the metal cello out there is awful. For one thing it sounds like their instruments are $200 Musicians Friend house brand. And there's really no way to make a cello sound aggressive enough for what they're trying to do. Reminds me of how crappy Apocalyptica are.
Oh, and I just noticed how bad their arco technique is. A lot of it is falling into accidental harmonics, and they have a really bad time when they reach the tip or the frog.
