If you could chose just one song what would it be?

I'd chose this one, it's so off but it works out magically:

You are my sunshine, the way I do it(early Clash/Ramones era punk-style). That or Over the rainbow by Judy Garland.

Best song ever

God Squad with the Rifles and late great James Darroch. Amazing speed and melody.

Otherwise Crying Sun or Burn My Eye from RB Living Eyes. Warwick Gilbert one of the best big tone rock bassists.

I'm a huge Syd Barrett fan, but I love his work more collectively rather than any particular tune.

Whatever I would cite as my favorite tune today would change by tomorrow.

Difficult question. To many, and depends on my mood...
Knee jerk response: La Villa Stangiato.

This wouldn't always be my answer, but when I read the question just now, Swervedriver's "Duel" popped into my head immediately.

How Much Is That Doggie In The Window or The Wheels on the Bus. Especially the Meshuggah and Mayhem (during the Occultus years) versions respectively.

I like the song, but I wouldn't call it a favorite. But it could very well be in the running for "Best Song" simply because there's no room for improvement. In itself, it is a perfect song.

Also, check out the drumming at about the 1:30 mark.

It's impossible to determine "the best song ever". However, for the sake of the discussion, I'll choose: Idiot Prayer, by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

LOL thanks Noise Ninja i have not heard that song in awhile
loving the Syd Barrett.

I always liked the part on Pink Floyd - The Gnome

i think the change i'm talking about is at about 1:14
