Just enjoying this again and thought I'd share. What a track. What an album. What a band. RIP Phil.

Love those geetars! This is probably my favourite from "Jailbreak" - maybe not everyone's first choice, but I totally dig this one. Anyone else thinking similar?

Great song Bassybill. Don't know if I have ever heard it before. Always liked their music but was never a huge fan. The twin guitar thing sounds so good when it's done right. I hate when two guitar players play the exact some thing the whole song. You can definately hear some bands that came after them in their music.

I can't see what song you posted. But Thin Lizzy are responsible for a lot of the dual guitar concept that was later developed by bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Jailbreak is a really great album I love it. Phil Lynnot was a great musician and an excellent bass player. The Boys are back in town is one of the greatest song rock songs of all the time.

According to a user comment under that video, a new remixed version of Jailbreak is being released soon.

The best twin guitar combo is Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham in terms of musicality, feel, interaction, melodies, etc.

I have often imagined the dudes in Maiden sitting around a record player playing along to "Emerald" by Lizzy. I've never heard another duo of rock guitarists play as fluidly together as they did- even most of the live Lizzy videos you can watch are amazingly tight and energetic. And Phil Lynott was definitely one of my fave frontmen of all time!

Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get too excited about that. The album's damn near perfect just exactly as it is.

By the way, just listen to the little one bar link at 2:30-2:31. Sooooo slick.

Very cool. But I've never heard 2 guitars utilized better than Iron Maiden. Then they added a 3rd guitar and ruined everything.

You're not the only one. I have the Remastered version and I think it's perfect. There's not need to remix anything.
