It's called Ashes Divide, and it sounds pretty similar to A Perfect Circle, at least, judging from their single: http://artists.ultimate-guitar.com/ASHESdIVIDE
Thoughts?
I like it, but the song itself doesn't hold up to any A Perfect Circle singles (the originals, at least) |

It's in the true Howerdel fashion of mixing hard rock & U.K. shoegaze (which is the style of my original music, albeit a little heavier and more ethereal, if you can wrap your mind around that one, lol). I've enjoyed his stuff since the Failure days. I got the impression from hearing the last APC disc and seeing them on that tour that they've run their course, which I really hope isn't the case. In any event, I'm looking forward to hearing more of his new stuff.

I'm actually thinking his voice is better suited for this than Maynard's, with all due respect to Mr. Keenan. The more I hear Billy sing lead, the more I dig it.

It kinda reminds me of Peach (Justin Chancellor's old band) a little bit, they've got that same psychedelic metal-meets shoegaze deal going on. |

I hope when A.D. goes on the road, Billy recruits the ever yummy Paz Lenchantin for bass duty on the tour. She guested on the album, according to the MySpace page.
