Just got a copy of the Classic Albums release of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" and they did it some justice. It's typical of the series, but it's a great choice of subject matter. Cool to hear that great overdriven P-bass tone soloed and Geezer's new Laklands are pretty killer, too. All the Sabs are in good spirits, Bill Ward seems like he's got it together more than I expected, but Ozzy...holy crap! I haven't really paid that much attention to him lately, but I don't think he finishes one sentence that he starts. I guess drugs ARE bad. Anyway, Geezer comes across as really good natured and there's cool footage of him playing his old parts recently, killer tone and vibrato. What a great album from start to finish. |
