anyone have any blues or jazz backing tracks that i can practice walking over and improvising on? I play in a high school jazz band and i'd really like to learn how and finding a teacher is coming along very slowly.

Music Minus One

Several years ago, during the days of vinyl LPs, I purchased some recordings and sheet music from Music Minus One that provided bass sheet music and jazz recordings with the bass part electronically removed.

In this day & age, there are probably lots of outfits like Music Minus One on-line; a Google search for Music Minus One would probably be a good starting point.

I'm curious to see what's available these days
