I have one of his recent albums, Beyond Words, with Richard Bona on bass and Omar Hakim on drums, and it is an amazing record. |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Brixton, South London | | I'm a huge fan of him - get the live from Montreaux DVD that came out this year - aside from stunning, stunning singing - there's also a beautiful duet with Richard Bona - RB plays bass and sings and the two of them improvise at an insanely high level - they should make a duo album IMO - 'Beyond Words' is a bit dissapointing I think.
Mcferrin is a genius. Fact

Sorry, I once e-mailed the dopey Classic Rock morning jock here 'cause he started referring to "The White Album" as "The White CD".
...which segues me into McFerrin's version of "Drive My Car". Crazy stuff!

Back when there were 8 tracks, cassettes and LPs, we only referred to vinyl as albums. Quote:

I'm from "back when" too, and where I grew up, you used "album" for all of them, as long as you were referring to the entire work. As in "I've got that album on cassette." Maybe it's a regional thing (I grew up in southern California).
