Bobby McFerrin.

This man never ceases to amaze me.

Bach Prelude-Ave Maria

Dina Lam- Richard Bona

Hush, Little Baby- Bobby McFerrin, Yo Yo Ma, Mark O'Connor, and Edgar Meyer. Personally, my favourite.

Hope you guys enjoyed these three videos as much as I did. The man is a genius.

Yeah, Bobby McFerrin gets a bad rap because of "Don't Worry, Be Happy," but even HE hates that song now.

I have one of his recent albums, Beyond Words, with Richard Bona on bass and Omar Hakim on drums, and it is an amazing record.

Check out Bobby McFerrin & Chick Corea.. I want to say the album is called "Play".. Really cool vocal/piano jazz standards.

I'm a huge fan of him - get the live from Montreaux DVD that came out this year - aside from stunning, stunning singing - there's also a beautiful duet with Richard Bona - RB plays bass and sings and the two of them improvise at an insanely high level - they should make a duo album IMO - 'Beyond Words' is a bit dissapointing I think.

Mcferrin is a genius. Fact

I saw McFerrin two times in a week at the Montreal Jazz Fest. One in a duo with Jack deJohnette and one with solo (with some impromptu guests). Just amazing. Great bass lines to! And by the way, I love all of his stuff, yep, even Don't worry be happy!

They're all "albums".
LPs, Cassettes, 8-Track, Reel-to-Reel, CDs, etc.

Sorry, I once e-mailed the dopey Classic Rock morning jock here 'cause he started referring to "The White Album" as "The White CD".

...which segues me into McFerrin's version of "Drive My Car". Crazy stuff!

Not really

Back when there were 8 tracks, cassettes and LPs, we only referred to vinyl as albums.

My experience agrees with JimK's on this. I'm from "back when" too, and where I grew up, you used "album" for all of them, as long as you were referring to the entire work. As in "I've got that album on cassette." Maybe it's a regional thing (I grew up in southern California).
