I was doing some reading about some DR stings today, and the music player on their website changed over to this tune, the Marcus Miller version of it. Usually I hate sound on websites, but hey it's Marcus, so that's ok lol.
After I was done reading, the song was stuck in my head, I dug around in my midi folder, found a backing track, loaded it in logic, swapped out the GM instruments for better virtual stuff (all from Logic studio 9 except the drums, that's superior 2.0 and the ezdrummer vintage kit)
Now for the hard part. I'm no Marcus Miller. So this is me just playing what I feel.
Bass used is an 07 MIM Active Jazz Deluxe. Recorded into Logic with a Line6 X3 Live, Jaguar Head, Line6 4x10 cab, some compression from the vetta comp. Then in Logic cleaned up with a little eq and a limiter.
