Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Effects

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,
I'm just wandering does anyone have like an mp3 of the effects at the start of "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams- Green Day". Because i'm wanting to play it at a school battle of the bands and we really need it

So if anyone has it, is it possible for you to send it to me.
Cheers!

aight mate, I believe its some form of delay effect. Why have you chosen that song btw?as IMO its their worst song. What you can do, is download the song then in sound recorder or in some music programme just record the intro. Hope that helps

It's tremolo. (rapid changes in volume) Several amp manufacturers (namely Fender) make amps that do it. Fender's is called the Vibroluxe

Re: Worst?
We love it and play it in the band. It has an awesome peak at the end that reproduces live extremely well.

Re: Tremolo
Isn't that just the guitar? When we play it, we leave that part all to the guitar. Then, when drums and bass come after it's done, it's a good kick to the start of the song.

It is all guitar. The bass and drums come in together on the second line of the verse.

We used to play that tune, I'm glad we don't anymore. " I walk alone" what sniveling rubbish... ANYWAY... I could use my fingernail or a pick on on steel roundwound strings with a bit of a flange and come up with a reasonable facsimile, without the chord changes obviously.
