Really nice stuff! Thanks for sharing this. Terrific bass player - great playing all around, actually.

Amazing playing. I always disliked the Brecker Brothers music, but was always impressed by its complexity and difficulty. Not very fun to listen to from a melodic or 'song' perspective IMO, but man the reading and playing chops that it requires are mind blowing!

The Breckers were among the most recorded sax and trumpet guys in the 70's and 80's, playing on tons of records. I believe a young bassist named Will Lee was part of their band in the early days. Michael, who unfortunately died somewhat recently, is considered one of the finest sax players of the 'post bop' era. His solo recordings are very good.

James Genus played in the reunion band in the 90's.

Check on Michael's discography... scary!

And thank you, yeah Elias is a DREAM bassist to play with - he just got this killer Eden Combo and was stoked on his tone !

Yeah, we barely had a month to prepare , and squeezed a little over a few rehearsals and it was mondo stressful - My reading chops aren't the best - so I had to memorize all my parts

Jonathon & Jeremy only did two full rehearsals - those guys are BEASTS !
