Brian Bromberg - "I'll Remember April"

Anyone else completely blown away by this song? It was my first real introduction to Brian Bromberg. Heard it on the radio and though, damn, that bass player is cookin'! Then the bass solo started...

I didn't even know it was Brian Bromberg until after the song finished and they said who it was.

Easily the most rediculously awesome jazz upright bass solo I can remember hearing

Yeah, i really like Brian's tone. Sometimes it gets to the point where i just say "daaaaannnnnnng". He can do more bass acrobatics now than i can ever hope to do. Totally killer player. If you haven't pick up Wood, Wood 2, and his Jaco CD. The Woods are awesome, but the Jaco CD kills. Specifically thinking of his arrangement of Portrait of Tracy and Continuum. I played those 2 songs for some of my friends at work [Chicago Symphony Store] and even the classical cats liked em.

Brian is incredible - the Jaco CD is the sh!t - but I wish there was more footage around of him playing electric - his DB playing is jaw-dropping BUT he's on the big jam at the end of the new Stanley Clarke & Friends DVD - which I have - and Brian is playing 'lead guitar' on a Piccolo bass - the man's chops are reeeeeee-faaaaakin-dicuuuulous - he uses his thumb position stuff all over the neck and taps like a freak as well - I'd love to see him play fretless like that...

Question

Did anyone notice the thread earlier this week, since disappeared, in this forum about Brian's new CD Downright Upright? There was a link to a page that looped four of the tracks from the CD. I didn't bookmark the page and needed to reboot my Mac for a software install and lost the page. Now the thread disappeared. Anyone remember? Thanks.
