Not Bad. I think you need to look into some crunchier guitars and you would be set. Drummer and Vocalist sound great.

When we went death metal we had to look into technology to support our sound, most amps wont support that bonecrushing grind out of the box.

Yes, double bass players have always been, in my experience, quite the metal enthusiasts.

not bad kinda reminds me of chris barnes vocals but the bass isnt even really heard in the mix and the guitars dont have enough crunch.

Not bad. I agree with the crunchy guitar statements, much needed grindage. Line 6 has some nice offerings head wise, for guitar. Like the Vetta stuff.
I always considered Brutal DM to be a bit more groove oriented

I hope you guys do some recordings soon!!

Bands sounds good.

But as an aside...

Not to be naive or a dick, (and I like metal BTW) but how can anyone comment on the vocals? I mean, maybe the OP can answer this for me because I've never understood it.

What's with all the growling? There's no tone, not pitch, no notes. Every single singer sounds exactly the same. There are some killer bands that I just can't listen too because it's like someone added a chainsaw in a toilet bowl to the mix.

But again, you guys are doing what you do well. But someday a band is going to come along that is so badass and heavy, it can not be denied. And they're going to make that silly growling sound old.

Just my 2 cents.

You're not being naive, perhaps being a bit of a dick. You obviously just don't get the genre. Growling DOES have tone, DOES have pitch and DOES have notes.

Heres the thing, you're obviously listening for five seconds to any given extreme band, turning it off and without actually LISTENING to the vocals intently, putting the whole lot down as exactly the same.

Three bands, a little bit similar musically, from the same area. I suggest you listen to one full song by each of these bands and if you can't hear incredibly obvious differences in the vocals, you're obviously not listening.

The bands:
Morbid Angel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU9Ay2EwL0Y

Cannibal Corpse- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9g4O...eature=related

Obituary - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVVTOHVXQQA

I was way into death metal for a number of years, and played quite a lot of it on guitar. You guys seem tight, though i'd like to hear a better recording too. The bass is absent from the video cam mic (no surprise)!

I am curious, though, about the image thing. Are you guys really into evil or is it just part of the show? No offense intended, i'm just wondering where you are coming from.
