Maybe it is not actually buckethead but some sort of imitator after all you only need a KFC family size bucket, a white mask and some long hair oh and not forgetting an amazing talent for 'wankery'. However, i shamefully admit i am impressed and found it relatively catchy in a strange repetitive way ...

Bucketheads .... well Buckethead, Bass playing not much different then his guitar playing. I keep a special set of wankery goggles by my desk that I put on any time I see Buckethead. This way I enjoy him for what he does, rather then what others do different

And the other kid...

Some things should not be immortalized by a recording.
Yea, kinda like flapping a solid plastic or something starchy.

Buckethead is great, and probably better than any of us on TB, so stop being jealous

I know we are getting into personal preference here, but that was a stupid statement if you are being serious. Les Claypool is an incredible bassist. His songs feature bass and the lead instrument so they will contain some wanking but he's also created music so good that many others are compared to it. Primus is practically a musical genre at this point.

Not very interesting, much like most high speed slap solos. Buckethead is a killer player but tends to go overboard... a lot. Before writing him off, I seriously suggest his playing with Jonas Hellborg and Michael Shrieve on the album, "Octave of the Holy Innocents". He is playing acoustic guitar so it's about as bare bones as you can get.

Buckethead does a lot more than just wank. There are plenty of songs and even entire cds that he has where he doesn't do anything "wankish". Not only that he is credited with playing bass on most of his cds as well, the guy that tours with his band doesn't play bass on the cds.
