I took my wife to Cirque du Soleil's Alegria show last night. They are very strict about photography as you can imagine. During the contortionist act there was some seriously cool fretless bass work going on and I thought, hey I could play that, if only I had a way to remember it... wait, voice memo on my phone, BRILLIANT!! Not so brilliant. I was nearly beaten to a pulp... all joking aside, while everyone was watching the acrobatics and all that good stuff, I was listening to the basslines and bobbing my head. I'm such a dork.

Get one of those yamaha pocket recorders. Slips in a shirt or coat pocket easily or hide it in your wife's purse.

I saw La Nuba in Orlando a while back and felt the same way about the music! The acrobats were pretty much a compliment to the music vs the other way around! After the show I immediately bought the CD and listened to it again on the way home!
