I was looking at the music for this song and was wondering if those "screams" during the "verse" of the song are bass. It seems to be indicated by the tabs when it says:

--9-9-9---
--7-7-7---
--0-0-0---
----------

If they are bass, how do you play them? (As in what effects are being used)

Probably a Fuzz and a Wah pedal.

Yes they are bass.

From this S&M version you can hear it bit better than in the original record version... (played by Jason)

(not sure is the tab correct)

If you get the S&M DVD and turn the orchestra off you can hear Jason really tear it up!

I don't mean the fills fills during the A-C part. I mean during the "verse" which has these "screams" every other repetition.

The formula is simple:

Big Muff => Morley Power Wah Boost

Those are the same pedals he used on all of his distorted bass solos.
