hey, Well i have this recorder and i was wondering if i could plug my bass into my ampeg b2re head then use the preamp out into the recorder but not have the ampeg hooked up to a cab. Can i do this or is it not good. thanks

As long as you use the Headphone-out jack and not the actual speaker out you should be fine, you risk damaging your amp and the camera if you use the speaker out.
