Can someone with 'Voodoo' tell me exactly what Pino played on?

Hey

I can't find my copy of Voodoo by D'Angelo - I fear it has gone for a walk.

Can someone tell me which songs Pino played on - if memory serves me correctly i think it was 5 or 6.

Cheers

Paul

He also played on Playa Playa, Send it On, Chicken Grease, One Mo gin, and Feel like making love

I'm always surprised how much charlie hunter did on that album. his best work by far IMO.

I think it's curious how closely they both copped the feel of the album. Most people I talk with about that album think it was Pino the whole way through, but the reality is the album is split fairly evenly between the Pino and Charlie, and they play so similarly you can't even tell.

Thanks for the info - I never thought to check Wiki! Duhhhh - my bad.

Yeah it's a great album. I knew he'd played on Chicken Grease, Feel Like Making Love and Playa Playa but I couldn't remember the other two tracks! (And someone's nicked my copy of Voodoo!) Though this kind of neo soul is not really my thing the vibe of the whole album is really cool. There are some great clips on YouTube worth searching out too.

It's actually more of a three way split with D'Angelo in there too. You're absolutely right though, its crazy how they all hit the same pocket.
