| If you're stuck with the audio from the on-board mic in the video recorder (and skipping post-mixing the audio and video from a separate recording/er), probably making sure your sound is as clean as possible, and probably as low a volume as possible, is going to help. And work with mic placement--if your amp doesn't have to be in the video, and it doesn't matter where it is, try in front, behind, beside, below, baffeled with absorptive materials (i.e., blankets)--if it is a closed-back cabinet, try pointing it the same direction as the mic, but into a folded blanket, so the mic is recording basically the remaining reflection from that (like I said, experiment). If there is a clip meter on the video recorder, make sure you're below that but as high as possible. Try different sounds from your bass and amp, too--a different sound may record better, but play back more like what you're expecting to hear.
