Interesting opinions. Im glad you give contructive critism and not just say "bad production" or "good songs".
you know, i may have a bad day, but i kind of felt sorry for wasting my time with two replies to your thread after reading that.

in my second post i tried to elaborate a bit more, but it's kind of hard to describe how *i* think an "expensive" snare should sound.

Im sorry if it came across that way. I didnt mean for that to happen at all. Besides I think your posts were contructive critisism as well. I dont expect really long answers. I mostly write like that so that people wont just go here and say "thats bad" or "I hate it" without saying why they feel that way.

Please dont take it personal. It wasnt directed at you at all. I appreciate your comments.

No hard feelings anymore, ok?

I see what he is saying about he production though. It make sense. I feel their needs to be more clairty... more high end. It's all mids and low. The cymbals need to come out a bit more. I'd bring the bass forward w/some more mids, and make the guitars have more highs.

I wouldn't call it amature sounding though... it sounds much better than a lot of the stuff I hear on metal blade.

Thumbs up !

This is really good stuff. I listened to the first and second demos and I liked every song. I don't usually listen to death metal but this is some of the best I've heard. A lot of times I get turned off by the over-technical parts that clash with each other in death metal; also, I can't stand the vocals. Like I said though, this is good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

hm, it seems as if came across too sensitive. i didn't have any hard feelings, i just felt that such a comment in a thread asking for feed back isn't really appropriate.

i actually think you're right in asking for some more elaborate answers than "i like". without some more info, you will never now what people liked and didn't like and how you could improve on that.

to add to matt till: i didn't mean to imply that it sounded amateurish in any way. my feeling was more that of listening to a raw diamond. with a more polished production your music probably would have really blown me away.

have a good time with your band and thanks again for reacting this understanding to my post.
