I just found this like 5 mins ago...

It's the greatest guitar player I've ever had the pleasure of working with...check out this guys leads...

I'm the longhair on bass...those were the days....

Footage was over a 6 year span.
At this point we were hammered every night (that's the part I'm glad is over)

Sounded great
although I would suggest that the he slow it down a bit and not play so many notes. Sometimes less is more.

I played strictly guitar for 30 years before switching to bass only. I used to do the same thing with almost every lead. I think it was the best advise I ever got. Recorded tracks sounded so much better to me after "slowing" it down a little.

1 note for 10 seconds can sound so much better than 30.

lol, yea on this version, he was full of wankery , but never would this guy do the same solo twice, unless it was a classic...some nights the stormy monday solo was slow & legato with lots of holds. His playing usually was determined by his level of drunkeness, seems he was in a good mood that night.
