Great Job. Not a very easy song to cover live. Especially with a 4 piece group.

Cheers! We work hard on the harmonies, it adds that final cherry on the top of the musical cake IMO

I've never liked the song much but you do a damn good job on it...really impressive....to the point where I've forwarded the link to the rest of my band as an example of the standard we should reach with our vocals.

Oh and to add weight to my argument that one of our guitarists should get a variax for those songs where combining acoustic and electric parts would be useful.

Nice job. I liked your "Baker Street" and "Reelin' In the Years" covers, too. Yooz guyz are pretty tight.

Thanks for the positive feedback chaps

Jools 4001 - the variax system gives us huge scope, over the course of a set it goes from Gold Top Les Paul(it can be that precise ) to banjo with acoustic 6 string and 12 string, Strats, Telecaster and everything else in between. Pete our guitarist/sax player also has the Line6 amp and pedalboard and can dial in all the amp and cab set ups he wants, it's an amazing system and more versatile than I could ever imagine -I can highly recommend it

Thanks for the variax info. I'm a long time Line 6 user myself. Modelling amps may not be perfect but they let me switch instantly to ballpark sounds for different songs (especially useful for switching between the different EQ I need when switching to fretless and back), so I'm willing to trade total authenticity for versatility.

So when it comes to guitar, I'm sold on the idea. We have two guitarists but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen. The guy who does 80% of the lead work is a died in the wool valves only guy and is wedded to his Les Pauls and SG's...he's dead set against modelling anything. Our other guitarist is more open minded, but is left handed...no left handed Variax as far as I'm aware.

My band is a rock covers band, doing material that's generally a little heavier than you guys (the Thunder song "Love walked In" is one of the songs we do that is ripe for a variax), so even though the music is different I'm hoping that if our right handed guitarist sees the standards that you guys set yourselves, it'll be blindingly obvious that if the variax was crap it wouldn't pass muster with you.

We'll see...

Oh, nice Thumb and bass playing as well BTW

Haha funnily enough our other guitarist Bobby is totally traditional, Les Paul and Marshall for him! The Line6 gives us such versatility though and makes sense in a cover band in a lot of cases, get your other guy on board with it, cheers for the positive comments, I love my Thumb NT

Cheers TC, so many bands don't realise the difference harmonies can make to the overall sound and performance. Can make a good band sound great IMO
