Catchiest bass lines?

Sign in to disble this ad
I would say Tommy Shannon on couldn't stand the weather(SRV), John Paul Jones on how many more times (Zep) and Krist Novoselic on sliver (Nirvana)... Obviously loads more, but that's what came to my head just now Suggestions?

Bernard Edwards bassline on Good Times just gets stuck in my head and nothing I do will get it out. That's catchy as hell!

ohhh, good one. heard that song two weeks ago and it's been in my head ever sense. great bass line. i actually pulled out some SRV the other night to play along with because of that bass line. sadly that cd wasn't loaded on my ipod, but there were still some good ones to groove to.

i think rather than "contributing" to this thread... i'll just sit back, read and learn. good thread.

No particular order:

The Joker - Steve Miller Band
Santeria - Sublime
We Gotta' Get Out of This Place - The Animals
Come Together - Beatles
My Girl - Temptations
St. James Infirmary - Bobby "Blue" Bland
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen
Call The Doctor - J.J. Cale

I'm not trying to trump Duff Beer and Natrix. I'm agreeing with them, then adding some others.
