There was an issue in bass player magizene, it had the thirty CDs that all bass players should have? I cant find it and wondered if anyone could give me a bit of list that i could build up our CD collection?

I don't have the issue, but I am always annoyed by "top ___" lists.

No such thing, mate. Enjoy what you enjoy - that's your "tops" list.

But still, I guess to help you out there would be some standards:

Jaco Pastorius (Self Titled)
Stanley Clarke (School Days)
Herbie Hancock would be there in some form
I'd give props to the Blues Brothers Collection 2xCD (for Duck Dunn)
(cos I'm biased) Rush - Moving Pictures/2112/Permanent Waves/Counterparts/Vapour Trails (or anything, really)
You'll want some Tower of Power too...

Jinkys, theres heaps more I'm sure.

This should probably be in Recordings....
